This is a small app run by one person. Here's what happens to your data.

What we store

Your countries-seen progress and review history, so the app can schedule your next review.

Basic page view data: which page was visited, when, and which site referred you here. This is stored server-side only; no third-party analytics service sees it.

If you have an account, your email address. It's used so you can log in, reset your password, and receive daily reminders if you opt in.

What we don't do

No third-party analytics. No ad pixels. No cross-site tracking. No marketing email. We don't sell or share your data.

Daily review reminders are available for accounts, but they're opt-in. You can enable them on your stats page and unsubscribe any time with one click. If you stop visiting for two weeks, reminders pause automatically.

Services we use

The app runs on Hetzner infrastructure in Ashburn, Virginia. Cloudflare routes traffic and handles signup spam protection. Resend sends password-reset and reminder emails.

If you enable review reminders, your browser creates a push subscription endpoint with your browser vendor's push gateway (Google FCM for Chrome, Apple Push Notification Service for Safari, or Mozilla's push service for Firefox). That endpoint is stored so the app can send you notifications. Disabling reminders on the stats page removes the stored endpoint immediately.

Honeycomb receives request traces via OpenTelemetry: which URL was hit, how long it took, how many database queries it ran. No personal data or request bodies are included.

Sentry receives error reports when something breaks: stack traces and basic Django request metadata.

Deleting your data

If you have an account, go to your stats page and click "Delete account." Your account, email, and review history are removed immediately. There's no waiting period.

If you're using Whereabouts without an account, the "Clear all data" button on the stats page wipes your saved progress.
